GLASSWORT
Glasswort, Salicornia spp.: Smooth and fleshy.
Tube-like cactus-like leaves. Low growing less than one foot high. Generally
found in the middle marsh. The plant is edible and has a salty celery-like
taste. Annual that turns red in the fall.
